Job Description

Multi-family office that oversees all aspects of individual financial, wealth and estate planning for select senior partners of the firm. The role of Associate on the Family Office team will involve working directly with the other FO team members and the senior partners and their family members across multiple generations. As a member of the FO team, you will gain exposure to multiple areas of financial reporting, tax and estate planning, and investment and wealth management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. The candidate should be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment. Finally, given the nature of the position, being trustworthy, discreet and maintaining confidentiality related to all personal financial information is of critical importance.

Responsibilities
* Complete and update financial agreements (for loans, leases, new investments, etc.)
* Record and file documents relating to investments, insurance, tax and estate planning
* Preparation and enhancement of quarterly financial reports
* Assist family members with bill payments
* Assist with execution and tracking of charitable gifts
* Work closely with the tax accountants on the preparation of tax returns and gift tax returns
* Work with estate attorneys on gifting and other estate planning matters
* Assist with cash management, tracking and projection
* Maintain and update compliance records
* Coordinate and monitor investments with third party managers
* Oversee all aspects related to real estate purchases and sales
* Review potential investments for suitability
* Ensuring the highest level of security and confidentiality with personal financial information
* Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as necessary

Ideal Experience and Competencies
* Bachelor's degree - Accounting/Finance preferred and/or CPA a plus
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong team player who can work with people on all levels within the organization and across multiple generations of the senior partner's family
* Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytic skills
* Utmost integrity; empathetic and discreet; maintain confidentiality; trustworthy
* Organized, detail-oriented and efficient; ability to effectively prioritize and deliver on commitments
* Should be proficient in Excel. Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
* Strong problem-solving skills
